Image Metadata Cruncher lets you control what metadata is extracted and displayed with your images.
This plugin is a must-have tool for photographers who edit their images in Lightroom or Photomechanic and don’t want to waste their precious time by writing all the keywords and categories once again by hand.
WordPress.com by default extracts the EXIF ImageDescription of an uploaded image to the Description field and the IPTC Headline to the Title field of the Edit Media form, but Image Metadata Cruncher gives you ultimate control over this behavior. You decide what metadata gets inserted where and in what form.
How do I set it up?
Once you’ve activated the plugin, go to Settings→Image Metadata Cruncher in your Dashboard’s sidebar menu. There, you can specify your Media form fields and meta tags:
Now when you upload images, the Attachment Details will fill in as you have specified:
Get the Image is a plugin that grabs images for you. It was designed to make the process of things such as adding thumbnails, feature images, and/or other images to your blog much easier, but it’s so much more than that. It is an image-based representation of your WordPress posts.
This is a highly intuitive script that can grab an image by custom field input, WP’s post image feature, post attachment, or extracting it from the post’s content.
The plugin provides a helpful interface for direct control over the look of your thumbnail images. Select the crop location and portion of the fullsize image you’d like to use and the plugin takes care of the rest.
How do I set it up?
After you’ve activated the plugin, edit any image, and you’ll see a new “Show Thumbnails” button:
When you click the thumbnail to edit, you’ll be taken to a screen where you can crop your image:
Ratio Mapping Support
If you have 10 different 3:2 images and you want to apply the same crop to them all, you have to edit each one individually. The plugin supports ratio mapping, which is like saying “all these add_image_size definitions belong together”. Instead of having the user edit every single thumbnail, they only need to edit one image per ratio definition.
Photon is smart enough so that you can save the same coordinates for each image definition and have it output a cropped result that is proportionate. When the user saves one image for a given ratio, it looks at the image ratio map and just updates the meta value so it applies to all the similar crops for that image.
Kimili Flash Embed utilizes SWFObject 2.2, is fully compatible with WordPress 2.6 and later and plays well with most other plugins.
This plugin creates a dynamic gallery of images for latest and/or featured content using either the JonDesign SmoothGallery script for mootools, or a custom jQuery script. The plugin dynamically creates the gallery from your latest and/or featured content by either automatically pulling in the first Image Attachment from relevant Posts/Pages, or by specifying image URLs in a DCG Metabox in the Write screen for the relevant Posts/Pages. Additionally, default images can be displayed in the event that Posts/Pages don’t have an Image Attachment or manually specified image. A Dashboard Settings page gives access to a comprehensive range of options for populating the gallery and configuring its look and behaviour. The DCG can be added to your theme as a Widget, or by using a template tag.
